Y9 GCSE geography fieldwork

Year 9 geography students have recently returned from fieldtrips to Yorkshire’s east coast. Students enjoyed some late September sunshine (as well as fish and chips by the seaside!), visiting Mappleton and Hornsea.  Their enquiry focussed on how hard and soft engineering are used to manage coastal environments and students gathered primary data to investigate the effects of longshore drift on the coast.

Students were a credit to the school through their excellent attitude and behaviour and are presenting results and writing up their enquiry work back in school.  Well done Year 9!
