Y13 A level geography – fieldwork projects
Year 13 geography students are in the final stages of completing their fieldwork projects as part of the A-level Geography course.
Students have had the opportunity to work on their own independent investigation, focussing on areas of the course they are most interested in. In preparation for the work they have taken part in different field trips including residential fieldwork based in Whitby, North Yorkshire. A range of skills including GIS and statistical techniques have been used to present and analyse data collected.
Students have produced some fantastic work on a range of topics including the impacts of Headingley Stadium on the local area and investigating the impacts of tourism in the Peak District National Park.
