Theatre Visit
On Wednesday 27th March, the Drama Department took 20 GCSE and A-Level students to Leeds Playhouse to see Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The students were gripped as, consumed by passion and grief, young Hamlet embarked on a treacherous journey to avenge her father’s brutal murder in this striking new version of Shakespeare’s searing tragedy. The extraordinary Tessa Parr under took the title role to create a contemporary Hamlet for the here and now, with our very own Post 16 student Jake Wilson also taking part in this wonderful and breath-taking performance.
Afterwards Jake took the time out to speak to the students about his experiences and what he has been doing this past year since finishing his A-Level Drama and Theatre course which he studied here at Ralph Thoresby.
