RTS students celebrate success!

There were some very happy students collecting their A Level and Vocational results at Ralph Thoresby School this morning. One young person opened her results envelope, exclaimed ‘we’re off to Uni!’ and proceeded to dance in celebration! Other responses were more muted but no less heartfelt after 2 years of serious hard work has paid off.

As always, the most important statistic reflects the future destinations of our Year 13 students. I am therefore delighted to report that, once again, 100% of applicants will be starting a higher education course after achieving the grades required. Ralph Thoresby students will be studying at a diverse range of prestigious Universities for the next stage of their development. For others, exciting Apprenticeship opportunities await.

Our consistently high standards in the Sixth Form (as recognised by Ofsted) were maintained again this year with an average A level grade of C and Vocational grade of Merit+. 58% of students achieved the higher grades of A*-C. Congratulations to all the students, staff and families involved.
