RTS Arvon Trip 2021!
We have run a trip to one of the internationally renowned Arvon Centres for the last seven years, other than, rather unavoidably, last year.
We are very pleased to announce a new trip this year, commencing from the Monday 8th November – Friday 12th November 2021!
What do pupils do on an Arvon trip? Our trips to Arvon centres offer our students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in writing. Pupils get the chance to work with professional writers throughout the week, through a series of workshops and one-to-ones.
This year we are very excited to be tutored by Emteaz Hussain, playwright and performance poet, currently under commission by The Royal Court.
We are equally excited to be tutored by our second tutor is the best-selling Young adult writer, Russ Litten.
Arvon centres are always situated in places of natural beauty and offer a peaceful retreat, as well as a chance to connect with nature. It’s a great chance to gain some independence as there is an expectation to help with cooking and washing up too. There’s plenty of homemade, delicious food and opportunities for fresh air and exercise. The main point of an Arvon week is to really engage with your creativity as a writer – as well as to have lots of fun!
