Ralph Thoresby students feeling Warm and Cosy
Congratulations to Matthew Hampshire, Sajad Abdul Karim, Jamie Hassall and Sameer Zubair whose business “Warm and Cosy” came second in the latest Trade Fair in the Merrion Centre in Leeds beating stiff competition from schools such as Leeds Grammar School and Woodhouse Grove.
The students are involved in an Enterprise Competition run by LEAP that enables them to set up their own company for a year, learning business skils, teamwork and problem solving. The students have had to raise their own share capital, make or buy a product to sell, write a business plan and market the product or service.
In the latest trade fair the team impressed the judges with their professionalism, enthusiasm and selling skills.
I am sure we will wish them lots of luck for the next stage in the competition where they have to present their business plan to a panel of Business Advisors.
