PE: West Yorkshire Champions!

Our Inclusive Athletics Team took part in the West Yorkshire School Games this week, where they competed against 10 schools from across the region (Bradford, Wakefield, Calderdale, Kirklees). They took part in a variety of events including javelin, triple jump, long jump, speed bounce to name a few and performed brilliantly in all events. This resulted in them finishing in 1st place and being crowned West Yorkshire Champions!

All the students were fantastic but a special mention must go to Ryan Kiani for his unbelievable throwing and balancing skills, Josh Brayshaw for his speed and throwing skills and Ali Adnan for his amazing score in the target throw event (highest score of the day!). Please congratulate the whole team if you see them around school.

Huge thanks to Jane Gibson and Corinne Stevens for their help, support and encouragement on the day. Thanks also to Karen Humphrey and Sandra Cullen for driving the kids to and from the event.
