Partition
On Wednesday 21st November, we welcomed the Leeds Playhouse to Ralph Thoresby School for a production of the radio play ‘Partition’.
Partition tells the tale of how, 70 years after it was abruptly divided, the history of the Indian subcontinent continues to tear families apart. A radio play first created live in front of an audience to commemorate the 70th anniversary of India’s partition and the creation of Pakistan.
Before the performance the GCSE and A-Level Drama students took part in a fun interactive workshop exploring the themes and issues raised in the play
The performance is presented as a radio play and will show the actors and production team creating the sounds effects as well the acting out the characters.
