Medical Mavericks
Stefan from Medical Mavericks came in to talk to our Y10 students on Thursday 14th February 2019 about some of the 350 Careers within the Healthcare system and the qualifications and skills required for them.
Students were shown how a lung biopsy was carried out and all the different roles involved with this, the roles involved in looking at eyes and the analysis of the picture taken using an i-phone and also the use of a machine for checking veins and blood flow.
This was a really interesting Assembly and more information regarding roles within the NHS and Healthcare can be found on the following websites.
www.medicalmavericks.co.uk – there is a students section with their MMTV showing students which subjects students require for various Careers in medicine and UCAS requirements. A section for Parents is currently being developed.
