The Languages Department is very happy to welcome this year’s Languages Assistants who will be working with many groups throughout the year providing students with the opportunity to develop their French and German Linguistic skills. Marvin and Betty and very much looking forward to working with our students.

Bonjour ! My name is Betty and I come from Nantes in the West of France. I am working as a French Language Assistant in Ralph Thoresby. My role as an assistant is to help students practice their speaking, reading and comprehension and make them discover everything that France has to offer!

My Name is Marvin and I am working at Ralph Thoresby as a foreign language assistant for German. I am from Hamburg in the North of Germany. I have studied in Germany where I have been studying English and History. I am looking forward to supporting the students in the years 7 to 11 with their German learning. The students work mainly with me on their pronunciation and little conversation skills, and of course on GCSE preparations. I support the German teachers in the classroom and work with students in small groups and sometimes on a ‘one to one’ basis’.
