Jess Crisp – Parent Governor
My name is Jessica Crisp and I began my role as a Parent Governor at Ralph Thoresby in December 2021. I have one son who is a student at Ralph Thoresby and he attended a local primary school before this.
I grew up and attended school myself in north Leeds and then I lived in Manchester whilst attending the University of Manchester for my Undergraduate Degree and Manchester Metropolitan University to study for my Post Graduate Certificate of Education. In 2001, I moved to Liverpool and lived there for 7 years whilst teaching in Widnes before returning to Leeds when my son was born.
I am a Deputy Head Teacher at a primary school in south Leeds and my current areas of responsibility are behaviour, safeguarding, attendance and SEND. I have taught in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and my specialism is Maths.
I enjoy days out and holidays with family and friends, visiting the coast and walking. I also enjoy cooking and baking. I am the secretary of a local Scouting executive committee and I help out regularly at their meetings and camps.
