Remote Learning: Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to do the work?

-It is an expectation that you complete all work. If you’re self-isolating, the expectation is that you are learning, but from home.

I can’t access my school email account. What now?

– Use a personal or your parent/carers email account to email userdetails@ralphthoresby.com. Your details will be reset and sent to the email account that you contacted us with.

I can’t find the work. What now?

– Please use the links on the school website. On the main menu, hover over ‘Home Learning’ and you should see the link to your year group’s OneDrive folder.

Will I get feedback on the work I’ve completed?

-Your teacher will provide feedback where necessary on work that you submit.

Will the work I’m doing at home be the same that is being set in school?

-The work you complete at home will be the same work as is being completed in school. This will mean that any impact on your learning due to self-isolation will be minimised.

I’m struggling with or don’t understand the work. What shall I do?

-You should email your class teacher, who will be able to help you. Their email address can be found by clicking on ‘Home Learning>Staff Email List’.

Will anyone be checking on me?

– Someone from school will check in on you each day. They will speak to you and your parent/carer to make sure you completed the work and to check for any issues.
