French & German Language Assistants
At Ralph Thoresby we are delighted to have our French and German language assistants working with many of our students, from Years 7-11.
Here are our Language Assistants:
My name is Charlotte Schwalm, and I am looking forward to working at Ralph Thoresby and Allerton Grange School as a foreign language assistant from Nov 2021 until April 2022. Afterwards, I will continue studying German and English Language and Literature with teacher training at the Freie Universität Berlin.
Bonjour! My name is Antoine and I come directly from Normandy, in France. I was really lucky to have language assistants during my school years, and their role was crucial in my choice of career. I felt really honoured when the opportunity came up for me to become a French Assistant at Ralph Thoresby School. I hope I can help and pass on this love for languages to the students. My goal in this is to try and talk as much as possible with the students to make them confident about their skills and help them practise their French! I work with tiny groups of two to three students, which means that they all get an equal chance to speak with me and progress! It’s my second year here now, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I feel really lucky to work in this beautiful region, and with such great and knowledgeable teachers.
