Enterprise Advisor Partnership
Ralph Thoresby School is proud to be working with the Leeds Enterprise Partnership. We have been partnered with Burberry and our Enterprise Advisor Geraint Jones. Geraint brings his vast experience of IT and business to his role as well as passion and commitment to support young people. Since he started he has worked with us to ensure we offer a leading careers provision for all of our students.
“As a youngster I found it difficult to know what I wanted to be when I grew up. After modest GCSE results, that progressed into higher education and on into university following the vocational National Diploma qualification in Information technology (IT). IT was a hobby that I enjoyed that’s resulted in a 20 year career in the IT industry. When I heard of the opportunity work with young people and help them with their career paths, I thought back to how difficult it was to think about my career, so my aim is to help the Ralph Thoresby School students with theirs.”
Luxury fashion brand Burberry has created over 350 jobs since opening its Burberry Business Services office in Leeds city centre, creating opportunities for people who live and work in the region and boosting the economy.
