Celebrating success on GCSE results day!

It was fantastic to see the positive reactions of so many of our Year 11 students this morning as they collected their GCSE and Vocational results. This success is the culmination of years of hard work on the part of RTS students, brilliantly supported by teachers and families.
Once again, I’m delighted that every student attending school has achieved at GCSE level, many overcoming extraordinary barriers in order to do so. There were some exceptional individual performances this year, notably Heather Potter who achieved eight Grade 9s! Heather has now enrolled at our excellent Sixth Form. The subjects performing particularly well in 2019 were: Computer Science; iMedia; Business; French; German; Biology; Chemistry; Physics and RE.

Success at GCSE has opened up some exciting opportunities for RTS students and I’m delighted to report that many are choosing to stay on and study at our successful Sixth Form (run in partnership with Lawnswood School).

Congratulations to all students, staff and families involved!
